containing the following items:
● 2 – Hand Sanitizer Packets
● 2 – 70% Alcohol Wipes
● 2 – Pairs of PE (Polyethylene) Gloves
● 1 – Pack of Travel Tissues
● 2 – Surgical Masks

This In-Home Care Worker Emergency Kit is intended for use by care workers in close, one-on-one proximity to ill patients and/or patients with underlying medical conditions or who are immune compromised. The In-Home Care Worker Emergency Kit protects care workers and their patients from infecting one another with disease, such as Covid-19.

Product Specifications:
Hand Sanitizer Packets – Hand sanitizer is intended for cleansing and waterless wash of hands to remove unwanted, harmful elements. The alcohol in the sanitizer destroys disease-causing agents, or pathogens, by breaking apart proteins, splitting cells into pieces, or disrupting a cell's metabolism. Hand sanitizer works to kill a variety of bacteria and viruses, such as Covid-19.

70% Alcohol Wipes – First aid antiseptic wipes containing 70% alcohol are intended for multiple uses including sanitizing objects, disinfecting skin, and cleaning wounds. When used on minor cuts, scapes, and burns, alcohol wipes decrease germs to reduce the risk of infection. Alcohol wipes are useful for sanitizing objects that may be
contaminated with disease-causing pathogens, including Covid-19.

PE (Polyethylene) Gloves – Most commonly used for food preparation, polyethylene gloves are also a useful piece of personal protective equipment (PPE) for short term use to provide a barrier between the hands and potentially contaminated surfaces, such as surfaces infected with bacteria or viruses, such as Covid-19.

Travel Tissues – On-the-Go sized packages of facial tissues are a useful way to prevent the spread of infection. If used to cover the mouth or nose when coughing or sneezing and then disposed of, tissues help to contain disease-causing pathogens. Facial tissues can also be used to clean surfaces or minor wounds.

Surgical Masks – Blueflame’s Non-Woven, Non-Sterile Face Masks, also called “surgical masks,” are disposable face masks commonly used for surgical, isolation, dental, or medical procedures. During the Covid-19 pandemic, disposable face masks provide protection for the general public and for medical workers in lower-risk situations. Surgical masks are not intended to be worn more than once.

According to the FDA, “A surgical mask is a loose-fitting, disposable device that creates a physical barrier between the mouth and nose of the wearer and potential contaminants in the immediate environment. . . . Surgical masks are not to be shared and may be labeled as surgical, isolation, dental, or medical procedure masks. . . . If worn properly, a surgical mask is meant to help block large-particle droplets, splashes, sprays, or splatter that may contain germs (viruses and bacteria), keeping it from reaching your mouth and nose. Surgical masks may also help reduce exposure of your saliva and respiratory secretions to others. While a surgical mask may be effective in blocking splashes and large-particle droplets, a face mask, by design, does not filter or block very small particles in the air that may be transmitted by coughs, sneezes, or certain medical procedures. Surgical masks also do not provide complete protection from germs and other contaminants because of the loose fit between the surface of the face mask and your face.”

Blueflame Medical’s Class I Non-Woven, Non-Sterile Face Masks are CE certified and meet FDA and CDC guidelines for low-risk facial covering. As with all of Blueflame Medical’s products, the items contained in the In-Home Care Worker Emergency Kit – Level 1 are vetted twice for quality assurance and best practice.

● 2 – Pairs of PE (Polyethylene) Gloves

N95 Respirator Mask – N95 respirators are designed for single use and worn by health care providers to reduce exposure to air born infectious agents. This critical piece of personal protective equipment (PPE) helps to protect doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers in close contact with Covid-19 and other air born disease.

According to the FDA, “An N95 respirator is a respiratory protective device designed to achieve a very close facial fit and very efficient filtration of airborne particles. The 'N95' designation means that when subjected to careful testing, the respirator blocks at least 95 percent of very small (0.3 micron) test particles. If properly fitted, the filtration capabilities of N95 respirators exceed those of face masks. However, even a properly fitted N95 respirator does not completely eliminate the risk of illness or death.”

Blueflame Medical’s N95 respirators meet FDA standards and are CE and NIOSH certified. As with all of Blueflame Medical’s products, the items contained in the In-Home Care Worker Emergency Kit – Level 2 are vetted twice for quality assurance and best practice.
